Biography:
Yaser Yacoob is an associate research scientist in the University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies.
His research focuses on detection, tracking and recognition of face expressions, lip reading, body part tracking, modeling and recognition of human activities, augmented reality, human appearance analysis, motion analysis and image segmentation. Moreover, Yacoob developed interactive robots and demonstrated their potential for engaging humans in games and communication.
