Shneiderman Debuts Human-Computer Interaction Pioneers Project

Ben Shneiderman, Distinguished University Professor of computer science with an appointment in UMIACS, has launched a website highlighting researchers who are considered pioneers in the field of human-computer interaction.
The site, which features photographs taken by Shneiderman and short biographical sketches, includes profiles of UMIACS members Ben Bederson, Allison Druin and Catherine Plaisant.
Shneiderman was founding director of the University of Maryland Human-Computer Interaction Laboratory, one of 16 centers and labs in UMIACS.
