Maryland Cybersecurity Center Launches Postdoctoral Fellowship Program
The Maryland Cybersecurity Center (MC2) recently launched a postdoctoral fellowship program, designed to attract highly-motivated candidates to the University of Maryland to conduct research and scholarship in the broad area of cybersecurity.
The two-year fellowships offer an opportunity to work closely with MC2 faculty and graduate students in multiple areas, including theoretical and applied cryptography, data-driven security, human-computer interaction and security, network and wireless security, machine learning and security, blockchain and cryptocurrency security, and programming languages security.
"We're seeking talented candidates that are interested in pursuing cutting-edge research with one or more of our core faculty members, while also being encouraged to branch out and explore their own scientific interests," says Charalampos (Babis) Papamanthou, an associate professor of electrical and computer engineering who is the director of MC2.
Papamanthou says in addition to the fellowship's competitive stipend and benefits, prospective candidates may motivated to apply given the university's advantageous location just outside of Washington, D.C., and the excellent technical and administrative support provided to the MC2 community.
More information on the MC2 fellowships can be found here.
