Katz Featured on Federal News Radio About Hacker Groups

Jonathan Katz, a professor of computer science and director of the Maryland Cybersecurity Center (MC2), was featured on Federal News Radio Feb. 6, discussing how cybercriminals carry out attacks.
A hacker group called Lizard Squad has found a backdoor into federal computer networks by leveraging university supercomputers that also have access to government data. Katz spoke about the different ways hackers like Lizard Squad can penetrate an agency’s network.
